This is my character Nowan😃
I wanted to explain that it changes color according to the time of day.
During the day he has a very flashy blue body.
And at night the body darkens to have a more furtive tone, a "camouflage" so to speak.

I dig modern Pokemons art direction well enough, but looking back at them, I really miss Ken Sugimori's old art style for Pokemon designs. Always felt like colourings of nature sketches that someone made while observing Pokemon, which fit the tone of the early games so well.

today's update. now combined the skin tone shader and fur tone shader. will start now on the fur grooming 🐰👌 aand~ might add more softness to its overall feel. still on look-dev phase.. have a nice day!

I am highly satisified with how this lineless experiment has gone so far! Painting onto surfaces really helps put it on the body!

Also learned that you should always use the mid-tone to help darken your highlights, or equalize your shades. Smoother than blur/blend tool!

The first level of every SNES game is usually the most representative. Starting the adventure at an inviting, full of life forest seemed like the way to go. I tried to make the shrine related elements stand out more than the natural ones in order to capture the folkloric tone.
