KING O' THE CATS. A domestic cat transforms into Tom Tildrum, the cat king, swelling & shrieking in a human voice. His image is of a CATSITH, or fairy cat, marked by a white spot. Beware if your cat has these markings! 'More English Fairy Tales', Joseph Jacobs, 1922. #Caturday
My portrait of Elmer L. Jacobsen from the “Found” podcast by Wondery. Awesome series.

Who should I do next 🤔
HN Jacobs was the assigned corpsman to the unit we did partial embedding with. He was great asset to his unit and his rank aside, I would call him a fellow Devildog - carries the demeanor and attitude of an infantry Marine! Here he monitors a live fire range.

Was floored when I saw this panel. Too perfect. This’ll be a part of a crime noir/fantasy pitch @jcbedgar and I are doing. Jacobs art is in a league of its own and @latlansky’s colours, as always, are breathtaking. We’re going to be looking for a home very soon.
@amiasmatics @NMNH @ROMtoronto The first image is a close up on some of the branchiae, which have a sort of grape-cluster like appearance (Eibye-Jacobsen 2004). The second image is a cross-section line drawing showing where they'd be located (Conway Morris 1979). (2/2)
