Revised idea for what I would want for my model.
Got tired of the coat idea, mainly because it threw off the shape of the character. Also, flat top hairstyles are surprisingly hard to draw.
Now, I think I'll stick to armor plates and a large ponytail styled after the tolype moth.

I’m going to leave this up for 1 more day to allow more visibility. I’m looking for someone very experienced with making mech designs as well as able to accurately create orthographic views with breakouts when needed. This part is very important to modeling and production.
