I’m a 17 year old digital artist who struggles a lot drawing due to a disability and doesn’t have the greatest confidence in my work but I will always feel better knowing that I don’t stoop as low as by tracing commissioned work.

I also don’t charge $200.

Here's my easy-to-follow step-by-step guide on how to make art like Butch Hartman:
Step 1: Find art made by an artist who's actually competent
Step 2: Make a shitty copy of that art (bonus points for tracing)
Step 3 (very important): grab an airbrush to make an amazing background

Tracing and using reference is not the ACTUAL issue -though some are making it that.

The issue is theft, specifically tracing another artists work and then selling it. I use references of myself and stock photos ALL THE TIME, but I don't trace others artwork and pass it as mine https://t.co/Z0rUixvXkX
