Scarlet Twilight was inspired by a lot of old comics, but also some more recent ones that reinterpreted the same material. Matt Wagner's work, his panel layouts and especially the way he's build his backgrounds around cool art deco shapes and patterns was a big influence!

I never draw any backgrounds, it's not really something that I enjoy that much, but last xmas I was trying to make something that could work in a frame and I thought that drawing ppl would be lame and look outdated fast, so I tried this.
