Made some pretty awesome looking Specular highlights for my mecha bits, using an interesting technique inspired by how Arcsys does their linework

when it comes to linework it makes it so I can nicely separate details like the outline of the jacket being more opaque than the folds. and for painting it helps me prevent putting down brush strokes that are too small to matter and keeps me focused on big shapes.

next step was tightening up the rough and finishing the linework. also added the flat colours. we also played around with multiple colour palettes and landed on these blues and purples
