If Shueisha or Tv Tokyo decides that the series don't do well enough then they will drop it (cancelled). The only role Pierrot has in everything is agreeing to produce the show or not.
The BC anime is doing great, Shueisha doesn't care about the quaility of the anime all they want is that the anime keeps bringing good numbers, so if the anime keeps doing good Shueisha and Tv Tokyo will want the show to keep running.

@poroporokun1 According to the Dragon Ball manga it's hara-hachi-bume, not bunme. I used this as my reference for the pronunciation here.
So it seems Shueisha made a typo. Or Toriyama. I don't have the black and white original Japanese manga to check and compare the two.
@JJBASoundDesign sometimes they just straight up make mistakes too, like Araki clearly colored the inside of the hands differently but Shueisha said "noooo fuck how hands ACTUALLY work" and just kept miscoloring it
