When designing BOYFRIEND (Now B-BOY),
We had gone through multiple iterations of it and had then took further ideas such as Ryu's costumes. We then found the B-Boy costume for ryu and had ultimately decided to base it off that.

update - scrapped a lot of what I had done in the first iteration, specifically the staircase's angles and colours. Redrew everything, shifted it all to the left a little to let it "breathe". Still quite a bit to do... but much happier with this progress. gn 🫡

I do quite enjoy my latest iteration of Derrik, a lot of the thought process for the design is that I wanted to take some of the original elements of the character I wasn't skilled enough to properly portray before and make them more stylized/androgynous, ultimately more unique.
