It's just on a plane in front of the camera. The idea is the shader loads the last rendered frame as input (so you can use it for things like fluid simulations etc, where each frame depends on the one before it, which isn't possible in a single shader)

Excuse my crappy phone camera. I made this all in ink using the very ancient prisms that I had stashed from when gifted them to me years back. 🖤
My degree is still technical work and 3D, but this class was a nice break before 8 months of living hell to come. Lol
