The moment he set foot on the studio he was already the best. He came to STC at issue 8, and while still keeping the American design, he has now way more "Japanese" proportions than even the future depictions, as you'll see soon. Past the weird back, this was a great era for STC

The most iconic STC artist's journey begins...Not with STC. This is his artwork done for a 1992 Annual, before he was brought in by Fleet, clearly meant to be the American design, it's janky, as it's his first time drawing the character, while being mostly used to drawing humans.
