Even after all these years since I first read Through the Looking-Glass and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, I can’t pass a mirror or painting of the ocean without a magical flutter of hope. ✨

You know, I was a bad reader in my childhood. Sometimes when I needed to read some classics for school, I just imaged my current fav characters on the places of existing characters. Interesting, how many od disney duck comics artists had same brain cell)

The reader doesn’t have to go far into the story to see the beauty in Taylor’s writing. The prologue is quite lovely and helps sets the stage for the second book in this amazing series." – Cozy Reader

From A WALK IN THE WORDS, my new book about being a slow reader. I loved books until they took away all the pictures. Then they looked like this!

“Everything about this book is darling! It moves, and sweeps and sways with the words and has lovely images. While all along making the reader feel so connected to Pigeon.”

Went back and found some examples from Memories of Arcadia!

I made frequent use of the 180 rule throughout the comic, keeping the characters on the same side of the panel they started on. This way the reader's eyes don't dart back & forth, and it helps pull them into the scene!
