Tweaked the final colors off stream but here's my latest "OC" (?) I guess you could call them. They don't have a name yet but I think it's better that way! They rep their signature "You." shirt and there's 4 color variants of the shirt!

I was showing one of my players how I made this picture.
As a summary:
1. The base (non flat colors)
2. Multiply layer in and flat layer for light
3. Few color dodges later (including the flat light layer)
4. half an hour of tweaks, additional color burns and rainbows later!

Tl;dr! Talk to artists (despite popularity) like regular people, ask them for help and how they think they would tweak it to make it look more natural, and keep working from there. Artists are always hoping to help smaller artists grow, I guarantee it!
