This wasn't designed to look like a loong, or Chinese dragon. At best, Charizard is influenced by western dragons.
Gen 1 wouldn't have been designed with any long-running theme, though, because it wasn't planned with sequels. It was stand-alone project.

Well, #Fuegococo is literally a pepper, but I know about the theory of the Fire Starters and the Chinese Zodiac, so I tried to mix a snake but I loved the crocodile shape as well.
I might try to design it again other day. but meanwhile I'll be posting the ideas!
