I like this funky little dude, I could definitely see him being a Fire Dragon type, fits the Chinese zodiac motif, and if it's still crocodillian like in the end, would kind of fit the mythological medieval creature the Salamander which are generally portrayed as reptilian

Something that's funny about the new starters is that Sprigatito and Quaxly actually are both kinda similar to ideas that I had for a Chinese based region that I never shared here

This wasn't designed to look like a loong, or Chinese dragon. At best, Charizard is influenced by western dragons.

Gen 1 wouldn't have been designed with any long-running theme, though, because it wasn't planned with sequels. It was stand-alone project.

Well, is literally a pepper, but I know about the theory of the Fire Starters and the Chinese Zodiac, so I tried to mix a snake but I loved the crocodile shape as well.

I might try to design it again other day. but meanwhile I'll be posting the ideas!
