Haha, love tubba blubba! Mostly I just pushed the tortuga into the bg some more, but have a bit of sparkle to his eye and some drool. Also darkening the foreground helps with depth! And as a tip for shadows, the darkest part is usually along the middle, when lit above and below.

Definitely something I can relate to, as a bun frequently devoured by large critters. There's just something so...powerful about utterly vanishing into a pred's depths, knowing you're utterly hidden beneath layers of flesh and fur, or tough belly scales... >/////<

So after I tweak the shading layer temperature, I copy it, with a cooler color, and start erasing bits, to add a bit of depth.

So there's that for a bit of impromptu process lol. Maybe I'll return when I get to the highlight layers.

Lukewarm take but I’d love for Star Wars to consider masks that let me see the actor’s eyes going forward. I know masks are a big deal for this franchise, symbolically and aesthetically. But watching Mando I just feel like there would be so much more depth and I could connect
