I don't know much about the character. my only knowledge of her comes from xmen evolution. So I tried to combine elements of different interpretations of boom boom I saw and put my own spin on it.

Finished commission for braxis-ooc on Tumblr of his Coerthan Hyur. This character has a lot of elements I don't usually draw, so he was great practice for me. Feels good to be back on the art horse!

i very rarely have planned compositions for any of my pieces and typically make stuff up as I go. I think the closest i go to planning things out involves studies of illustrated elements I include in my collages.

He's just really well designed (IMO) the design portrays his personality for the time perfectly and that kind of identifiability Hits pretty hard to me!

Not to Say modern had some strong design elements. Modern is designed with many more layers of personality if not more!
