hey everyone!: remember to lighten the palms if your character has darker skin. (also, some skintones ARE ashy/gray, and that's ok they're all pretty, thank you creator for the advice, this is mega helpful <3...also,rate my art)

It was said that childe and kaeya had a similar shade in my drawing... The true crime is that I made childe darker than his actual pale skin tone. But like I said my tone is still darker than the official art. So I'm still confused on how I white washed Kaeya...

So I was recently accused of whitewashed Kaeya in my recent fan art. I used the photos that you see as references, not as an actual pallette. There's a difference. As you can see obviously my art is darker than official in game, and mihoyo art of Kaeya. So how did I whitewash?

the brush I use is very transparent, so if I want to color sketches, what's underneath it will affect the colors lol
so if I want a darker vibe for the lighting, then I'll just make the bg darker

Jovaril Eldorith, Dhampir Swarmkeeper Ranger [Bats]. White long hair, Red eyes, and Elven Lineage instead of Human. Closest ref pic I have, though his armor would be less ornate and darker. He's Alucard/D inspired in build/stature.

A minor update to this earlier piece, but I've fixed the values on Kagura's winter uniform. The color I'd always use for the shadows up till now would always diminish each time I'd bloom the highlights, so this time I've darkened them.
I've also shaded the underside of the shirt.
