@grosem Thank you! I just started finding art that I liked (lots of stuff from games, cartoons, etc) and trying to recreate it. For example, here's a pokemon where you can see the original in the corner. I didn't trace it, but kinda stared at it and tried to understand the shapes.
it was started as a pastel sketch for bigger work, but was never completed (destroyed unfortunately), maybe now it is time to overcome bitterness of loss and recreate it
