No. 66: Machop
Superpower Pokémon
Machop exercises by hefting around a Graveler as if it were a barbell. There are some Machop that travel the world in a quest to master all kinds of martial arts.
A few more monster girls from Monday: Jiang shi, mind flayer, and succubus. During these roulette streams my aim is to finish each sketch within an hour and a half. It's a good & entertaining exercise, that's why I do it every Monday.
Here's the foundation of how I think about light (and composition): everything can be broken down into 2-3 values and still be entirely clear and readable with an obvious focus. These first 3 took 2-4 minutes each and make for a great exercise!

Vesmir got a new exercise belt, and this is the first thing his friend told him to do.
Going through my work from last semester, I've found that I would find great joy in pretending to be a children's storybook illustrator, this is an out of context shot of Jacque from an exercise to re-imagine "Jack in The Beanstalk".
#AbortedComicsIdeas 07 :
Title : Over You (short)
Year : 2010
Plot : A guy in charge of a sick orphan offers him a day off
Why aborted? : The saddest thing I've drawn I think. It was only an exercise when I did it.
Nevermora isn't always dressed in her leather jacket, sometimes she gets active, her favorite exercise is boxing.

Full rendering with warm palettes was my thing, I was fresh out of college and studying animation. I even found these exercises with a 'full' background!
I'm back from hiatus and have lots to share, but first here's a palette exercise using an aspen grove with my dear comic protag!
