Finished Volume 13 of Re:Zero a few days ago, and one of the things that stuck out to me is how much the male cast outshined everyone else in it. It's rare that a light novel series, let alone an isekai, gives so much thought, depth or even shine to their male characters.

Hmm Tough one! But I like it! I didn't finish my current portfolio piece project, but here's an older one.
I wanted to create an underwater scene with some depth to it, but I think it turned out a bit sparse? Also the lighting on the mermaid is lacking I think.

The art style of this one is adorable. Good physics and sprites flying all about the screen. (Little shell-casings for every bullet you fire.) And the 3d forced perspective is really utilised well with the depth in the level design. I can't quite place why it didn't grab me. 🤔
