IMO, one of the best visual metaphors in TGCF’s donghua is definitely the scenes taking place in the telepathic matrix

It’s interesting how in the two scenes where the gods are gathered together, Xie Lian is always shown as seeing them projected as these large, looming figures

Ok, so the best place to start imo is easily her first “appearance” as Captain Marvel with Kelly Sue DeConick’s run from 2012-2015. There’s the first volume that ran from 2012-2013, then a special crossover story with the Avengers, and then it picks back up in the 2014 series 🥰
