Got accused of whitewashing the other day, ignored the initial comment on insta but I wanna state:
I drew a biracial Indian girl, desaturated her skin tone to fit my palette. In the future I'll darken her skin, but otherwise I feel comfortable to say I didn't draw her white.
this isnt mysme but please do not do this. recoloring and drawing poc characters is whitewashing and racist. its not hard to understand

You see if they didn't obliterate Damians character and whitewash him and basically not look at a single piece of source material before writing this it could've been fun
Serious question.
Is it whitewashing if I make a black-coded character have pale skin because she’s a dryad made out of birch, and therefore has skin that looks like the bark?
#Archive30 #ConservationWin This wall painting, depicting parts of the story of David and Goliath, was revealed in 1852 under whitewash at the Minster Church of St Nicholas, Great Yarmouth. Watercolour from Dawson Turner's collection @britishlibrary : https://t.co/XDVVojqQ9M

@oblicornis for u (i did not whitewash mitch on purpose that was just the closest option 😭🤚🏼)
I deleted the previous drawing bc I didn't want the problem to spread further and I also wanted to say a couple of things,, I'm not racist and I never wanted to whitewash Catra or another character. I think that's all ty

ok ok since this is getting crazy lmfao... I used the Medusa Head model (from the sidewinder skin) and didn't like her hair so I added banshee's hair! I didn't whitewash anything... also the head isn't even white it looks grey, basically just used the same skin color as Midas.
Can’t believe The Pokemon Company whitewashed Wooloo
This is even worse than the Bea and Nessa situation!
We can’t let them get away with this!
😤😤😤
Remember when people said that Nessa isn't tanned and even said it's just the lighting? But now people are saying Bea is "whitewashed" instead of saying it was lighting.
I'm also convinced that some people during the Nessa situation are the same people at "bea is whitewashed"
@Manga_Kamen I've said this on my own twitter, but I'd like to repeat it here since It's relevant.
If Bea was "whitewashed", how come no one is pointing out this?
