The 2008 run does fit in with the 80s continuity, it's just that Raven left/lost her body a few times in between (usually when her evil side took over and the Titans needed to defeat her fully), so she ended up in a 16 year old human body by the time the run came out.

Ultimately, I'd say that in Pre New52 continuity, Shiva was part of the League for a while but didn't seem to train or work under Ra's except for the Hush thing. By and large, she seemed to be working more with David and the rest until Cass was born and she split.

Biased of course, but IDW makes the middle-grade Marvel Action comics line that are available in trades. Light continuity with familiar characters. Avengers, Spidey, Captain Marvel, and Panther!
