The other main issue is that they just completely remove a bunch of your moves. As far as I can tell, Ragna loses access to his standard 2A, j.A, and 6C. They also remove some of your special moves, along with the ability to do special move inputs.

A practice match between Master Asura and her pupil Tawa, and it only lasted two seconds. But that is one second more than usual so Tawa has doubled her progress.
Asura is just really good at pulling off those pretzel input commands.
