Some modern viewers might be out off by the artifice or pacing of older movies (or other hindsight issues) but I love the look and feel and scripting of older movies. Not to mention their fabulous hand crafted production design work in which limitations are embraced.

I was concerned with how will they adapt it, the manga had some pacing issues at the beginning and really shines in its sequel, but I feel like the movie handled it really well!

Umineko's pacing may be annoyingly slow sometimes in the sense that it takes time to get to the point it's trying to make in a particular scene, but in the grand scale I think the general story pacing is perfect, almost every scene actually advances the story.

currently watching #mononoke and it's so damn cool. I feel like I'm still missing more knowledge about japanese mythology to really understand all of it, but the artstyle and pacing is really fascinating.

Overall, it was a solid demo. I'm intrigued to say the least. If it can resolve a lot of the narrative/pacing failures that Octopath had but maintain gameplay just as fun, this will definitely keep me hooked!

My problem with the show is the absolutely TERRIBLE pacing. For every great episode that moves the plot along, it’s slowed to an absolute halt by episodes that feel like nonsensical filler that are inconsequential.
And no this isn’t following any manga.

For #FossilFriday a Dinictis skull with puncture marks in its skull. The spacing and shape of the punctures suggest a Hyaenodon horridus bit this nimravid's skull and killed it.
