The main reason I have still a DeviantArt is to download Krita bundles (packs with different types of assets like gradients, palettes, brushes and patterns), but I usually make modified presets of the brushes and new patterns and gradients myself to adapt them to me. :]

Legit make the lines you want and on a separate masking layer, you can apply any colors or gradients you want; then you can change the opacity on either layer for more~
I personally did it a lot to make the overall colors stand out more; shades or not 😅

My absolute favorite part of my model is the stars inside of the wings and the hair gradient, it turned out so pretty and on the menhera one making the hair more solid coloured to allow the outfit to stand out more visually
