I still need to watch High School Heroes but I already kinda love it just based on Ichika Sakurai

Writing a trans character in a sentai, even a spinoff one, is pretty damn awesome and you love to see it

She's gotta be an inspiring character for trans toku fans all around

Ah, it's January 25th
Happy Birthday to Ishinomori Shotaro, one of my childhood heroes

A man who birthed many characters of justice and goodwill that inspire me to this day. Cyborg 007, Kamen Rider, Kikaider, Sentai

Thank you Ishinomori. Your stories will build your legacy

Today would have been the birthday of the legendary Shotaro Ishinomori. He is known as the creator of many Japanese superheroes series, such as Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Cyborg 009 and more.
Without him, Tokusatsu wouldn't be the same.
May he rest in peace.

Hikaru Nanjo

Her [Little Hero] SR Card was changed several years ago to alter/remove the very unabashed references to the licensed properties of Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, and Ultraman.

I hadn't really thought about it before,
since I just assumed the designs were just supposed to be Sentai inspired in general.

Looking at M-HERO designs though,
it makes sense that their E-HERO counterparts would be based off specific tokusatsu characters too.
