Oh sharper shading? What I like to do for that is just use my normal pen that I use for lineart. Thats what I did for these here in fact (well two of them I used a mixture of my sharper and softer shading but you can still see the sharper kind)

Over all my shading seems kinda brushed on and I dont know how to make it sharper (shading for me is boring :'( ) heres some examples of how I shade... if you can give any tips

It looks so brushed on :(

The Tarasque was an unusual dragon from Provence, France, 'fatter than an ox with a lion’s face and head, a horse’s mane, its back as sharp as an axe, bristling and piercing scales, six feet with bear’s claws, a serpent’s tail, and a shell like a tortoise.' [1/4]

LINE ART IS AMAZING MUAH
their lineart is the click and sharp that really shapes the artwork so well

i miss that kurahana 'punch' you mentioned... the first 3 here have this certain depth to it, and there's a nice balance between sharp and round features... but the newest art misses all those features? though i do think that they captured the kurahana style better on other boys

Just don't confuse him with the OTHER Captain Carrot.

...who is also very good, but also carries a very ordinary (if very sharp) and completely non-magical in any way sword.

I did some watercolor-style painting on some characters depicting normal lighting, fine. But then I start trying to do this dramatic lighting and my motivation plummets. It looks muddy.

I guess I need to keep some of the color on separate layers to keep it sharper.
