I also painted my dad for chiaroscuro activity in school and used it as a birthday present painting as well. Too tasks in one. Proportions are off but ey at least its recognizable LOL

Messing with different proportions before I commit fully to this prototype. Originals were fft, then BoF4, then Disgaea (which I thought would be the best but I like the least)... What's your favorite? Any other recommendations to try?

When I have art block, I tend to find tracing photos very helpful with slowly easing me back into the swing of things! Also helps me to understand shape and proportion a little more~

Heres a few that I have done, thought i’d share since its something that helps me a lot!

anygays i did a whole new drawing and it was a redraw of a really recent one (ofc i had to do the shade +leaves again bc i love it) but i usually have trouble drawing people actually interacting and still looking proportional so thats what i was trying to do!!

This is a quick drawing of the OTHER sharovipterigid Ozimek volans, from the Late Triassic of Poland, made for my upcoming book “Journey To The Mesozoic vol. I”. It was likely also a glider and its long neck and legs made it have really weird proportions
