My favorite game from 2012 is Mass Effect 3. It's pretty amazing. The Legendary Edition that came out last year is the definitive way to play it, so I'm also going to mention another favorite from 2012: The Last Story. The Last Story is a hidden Wii gem, I like it a lot.

The one connection I made myself was the one in which Okano mentioned discussing with Kazuyuki Hoshino about street culture and remembering the hidden Sonic CD image by Hoshino which had the “Can I kick it?” phrase which was a similar phrase to Okano’s “Kick It Jam!” artwork.

Mashima called Lucy “almost the mc” which means she’s not the actual mc but important as the mc. Not to mention Hiro Mashima stated like 3times in the manga that Natsu is the mc and the story is about Natsu yet some weirdos pushing a false agenda that Lucy is the mc.
