I'm normally a 2D artist, but I dabble in miniatures. But this was pretty much scratchbuilt over 3 mo from everything above the tracks.

I learned a lot about mechanical stuff (that I normally only draw) from this, so my takeaway I guess is– try stuff outside your usual medium!

I know this won’t scratch the itch entirely, but have you considered doing a diptych? Collab’ing with people so it looks like you’re interacting with them in your own photos?
