Alt design. I likes the light frills on the skirt layers bc it made it look like sea foam on waves, but it felt a bit too fancy for this already pretty extravagant design, so I removed it. Also removed the shoes, because it just felt very in character to do so

This piece took me over a year of work, sneaking time in between client work and creative crashes. This felt incredibly good to finish after a long struggle with burnout, and even though I'm still finding my way through it feels like a star in the dark.

What baffles me about the Capcom re-releases in the 2010s was how they felt the need to make all-new art. The art is a high-point for the games of this era, so why not celebrate it instead of replacing? Capcom still has these in their archives if they need to be rescanned, even.
