Here's me making nonsense connections. But! We talked about Raijin, the god of Thunder. He is one of the guardians in the Sanjusangendo. Something about his sculpture reminds me of Akaza and his fighting poses in the manga. He also reminds me of Kyogai, the Tsuzumi drum demon.
