2011: The Zelda obsession was holding strong with the release of Skyward Sword. I tried out using different colors to shade (instead of shades/black) and learned a lot about color theory in my art class. I was super proud of this piece since I used blues/purples to shade.

i normally see my old ocs and see what i can change, like practicing with colour theory and even with body language. heres an example of practicing with what goes together and establishing what works for the character dynamic and what doesnt.

the oldest art I have is from 2011, so I couldn't do the 2009 vs 2019 thing... But I redrew this weird magical girl I made when I was 13!! It's not the exact same because I think I grew in a lot in character design + color theory and I wanted to reflect that in the art as well!!!
