the board here is fantastic, even if the animation isn't anything terribly notable, the quick cuts with imposing layouts do well to present Pride as a powerful figure.

Shinobi, in MAME, is a lot better than the C64 port. 😁 Faster, prettier, more enemies on screen. A good illustration at what the gap was between arcade games and home computers at the time. 🤔 The level layouts were very well translated. Often large bits are cut out in a port.
