Just thinking about how much non-gameplay depth Nights into Dreams had: there was an entire artificial life system that was divorced from the core game, only interactable if you seeked it out. They could crossbreed (+w/ enemies), & their happiness dynamically mixed the stage BGM

I really enjoyed my 60ish hours with it, it's unique and there's really no game I can easily compare it to in terms of gameplay. Also the characters are really good and made me cry a few times. they hug
Loved this game back in the day on the #amiga500 it's Shadowlands, 2D RPG where you control 4 characters on a fantasy adventure, it has an interesting Light mechanic which affects gameplay.
