mecha anime does this a lot. idk how they got the camera distortion but for the most part this can be done with a single 5pt/fish eye perspective and a camera move in clip studio
The character designs in the original Battlefield games were so outstanding because they featured distinct color themes that never felt jarring or chaotic, with equipment and camouflage combinations that were balanced.
They aren't realistic, but they look comforting.
