I read on Facebook that Sesshomaru is forced to work 4 Kirinmaru because he threatened Rin's life saying "if the dream butterfly disappears Rin dies". Though a lot of us don't see Sesshomaru manipulated like this but when you love someone you'll do whatever it takes.
