Exactly, I’ve seen a few artists do challenges and “redesign” art, like a “remaking gen 1” challenge on insta and it’s never stated that they’re fixing it making it better, along with heavily stylized takes. And there’s designs id love to remake, but I’m never looking to “fix” it

l like to give my pokemon-characters something that gives them personality - changing shapes, changing patterns, etc. But i can't call it redesign or "fix", do not attempt to say "looks more like official!" cause it's not it. I respect official designs even if i don't like it
