Something that I feel is sorely missing about is the texture overlay style that was EXTREMELY prominent in the original game and its spin-offs.

I'm sorry to say this, but I found Venom Island story arc pretty dissapointing. The idea is awesome and it started well, but then it wasted its potential with useless dream sequences and flashbacks. It still has some cool shit, but I felt let down in the end.
