I feel like there’s an overlooked art to Castlevania’s “final monologue” scenes. Some of them are just straight up savage and epic like Leon’s, or thought provoking and philosophical like Richter’s.

A few critiques up front because I'd rather talk about the things I like, but I do feel like the choice to use Riot as the main antagonist was a bizarre one. Of the children of Carnage, they picked the Grey one? It makes for some particularly visually muddy fight scenes.

RE WTRC initial review: The locations & score were great. Seeing the Mansion & R.P.D. was a highlight. The movie severely suffered from the script & pacing. Not enough time for proper character building & very questionable scenes. I enjoyed moments but not the movie overall.
