shape, line flow and how the shapes intersect each other are done in a certain way so its not stiff and also act as points that all work together

this has been one of the greatest advances I have made, I started mainly by making the basis of shadows to then apply color and shape, the rest is details lights and shadows.

Here’s the process for the little portrait I did for the other day! It’s always really interesting to go back and watch how I arrived at a final piece - I didn’t have a real plan with this one so you can see I started then deleted a colour layer, changed eye shape, etc.
