I absolutely love your art! I can never get over how beautiful and vibrant your work is. What about a combo for the outline? Like maybe dark outline in the shadows and light outline in the light. Something like this? Easier to read I and still keeps the brightness I think.

for me it's simplicity. You see all these OCs with wacky out of this world designs, bright colors, etc., I like to keep my OCs with a simple design and "good to look at" color palette. Plus, I feel it's easier on artists I commission if the characters aren't so highly detailed.
