The Star - Dancer on Pointe, Edgar Degas, 1878 #edgardegas #impressionism
I did not plan it, but a student pointed out that the day we introduce gravity (9.8m/s^2) happens to be 9/8.
What an excellent amber carving! Look at the details, a small bottle held by a woman!
This is an Etruscan sculpture made ~5th C BCE, depicting a couple on the sofa. Woman is dressed in a pointed hat, a tunic & pointed shoes.
Ones a fibula - amber has 2 holes on the back side

Boston #Comics Roundtable pointer of the day: @BelieverMag's video of Ben Passmore @daygloayhole presenting on "Making Comics for the Politically Indifferent” – https://t.co/E2Il6gMEpx
I lost my job of 17 years last week. It was a deep blow. No more selling Jane Austen to the masses. A friend wrote a glowing reference for me that restored my faith in humanity. So kind.
"Friendship is certainly the finest balm for the pangs of disappointed love." Jane Austen
Still majorly work in progress but can’t say I’m disappointed with how she’s coming along
can’t believe that nobody pointed it out, but last thursday was the two-year anniversary of the all-time best comic panel
