I dunno, I'm kinda baffled by this improvement?? Like I know the more recent one isn't as polished and I now pretty much use my sketch layer as lineart but,,,,, I dunno, it's wild,,, I always get surprised seeing my old art compared to now,,,,,

Had such a fun stream, Drew this dragon and learnt a lot about where I'm struggling when I do backgrounds. Namely: Details, composition, giving the scene "character" and making it feel finished or polished. Now Ive identified those problems I can try working on fixing them!!
