Soma Bringer is a Monolith game that you probably haven't played. It's a top down, dungeon crawling DS RPG exclusive to Japan. Produced by Tetsuya Takahashi and written by Soraya Saga, the plot involves "Soma" (the game's equivalent to magic) being disturbed by an unknown force.

It has a fair share of comedy, and the plot overall is really nice. Especially some twist around the supporting characters XD

Rant:
I honestly hate Boots from #DoratheExplorer. He adds nothing to the plot, and is just overall a very forgettable character. It’s called DORA the explorer, not Dora AND Boots! Dora honestly carries the entire show, why does she need a stupid monkey? #cancelboots
