I love abstract art, because if you try to describe it, you are influenced by how you feel or your imagination rather than an "objective" interpretation.

For reference, I used Design Doll (free!) because it lets you manipulate the hands down to the knuckle and you can lay down boxes as place holders for objects. I also did an image search for hands gripping an edge and used that to composite the hand in the front.
