Alex Ross again does this alot better where he uses reference for specific poses he can't just naturally imagine in his head or take an established reference and tweak it where it works. Because of that his visual storytelling is more on point and less "hollow" than Lands.

you probably noticed that Varya’s head is Ioana’s head, but did you know that Trofimov’s face is also Ioana’s? I had to tweak blendshapes & make a bunch of new face animations for TCO so that Trofimov and Varya wouldn’t be obviously samefacing all the time 😂

For day 208 of and day 18 of Mankuu's Spooky Month I finished the clouds, added some stars which I might change later and tweaked the gradient again to make the sky just black instead of a dark orange.
