Just had a play through of Cross Blades - a beat-em-up I've never heard of by IREM. Beautiful art, especially for 1991. (The gameplay is awful though... which is probably why it was Japan only and never mentioned again)

Man, I miss the good ol’ beat-em-up games. It was so therapeutic to go to an arcade, pop a coin in, and become a martial arts master for a couple minutes. Especially with the unforgettable ASMR of the characters that sound like angry crows when they kick the other characters
