After that I do the standard lineart + flat color step.

I usually draw the stuff hidden by foreground layers in case I wanna change the composition later but you can skip this step to save more time!

If I decorate the characters with assets, I put them above the lineart layer.

Declassified magical item, the Fairy Harpoon (Scuttlebutt). It has a dial that allows the weapon to dramatically shift size.
