I actually prefer horseshoe lake. I had to look it up.
It says..

"An oxbow lake gets its name from the U-shaped collar placed around an oxs neck to which a plow is attached. It can also be called a horseshoe lake, a loop lake, or a cutoff lake"

Decided to go with a Ploom, and it looks... okay so far. Still need to still learn how to map UVs though

Also the lack of an obvious "shadeless" material option in anything beyond 2.79 is suffering and I have no idea how to use these "nodes" at all that everyone talks about
